Large Green Caterpillar

What is this large green caterpillar? I think it is in the sphinx or hawk moth family, but I don't know which one.

It looks exactly like a tomato hornworm. They're nasty little buggers. You'll often see them with a bunch of white dangly things all over 'em -- those are wasp eggs that will ultimately hatch, releasing the little critters into the hornworm and eating it alive. Learning that turned me into a wasp fan. :)

Yep. They turn into a hawk moth. If the wasps don't get them first.
